Xbox Series X specifications
These are other features of the console that give it great added value.
The games will be played in 4K resolution. There is the possibility of playing video games in a higher resolution but this would depend on the type of game and the developers.
Multimedia content such as photographs, movies and TV series, can be played in a resolution of up to 8K.
Frames per second and refresh rate (Hz)
Video games can be played at a variable speed frequency, although the most common are 60 Hz, but it will be possible to bring some titles to 120 Hz.
Dynamic latency input (DLI)
This technology reduces the response of the controller, console and television to have faster response times and image, in this way the television or monitor will “adapt” so that the image speed on the screen is synchronized with the native speed of the video game, as long as the TV or monitor has the technology called “variable refresh rate” (VRR).
TV’s or monitors with “automatic low latency mode” (ALLM) will automatically activate “game mode” when playing the image from the console.
It will be possible to connect any hard drive via USB to the console for Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games. For Xbox Series X video games, it will be necessary to buy a “special” hard drive created by the Seagate company whose price has not yet been confirmed.
Xbox Game Pass video games
All titles will be compatible with the new console.
The console can be used vertically and horizontally without any problem.
Xbox Series X backwards compatibility
Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One video games will be compatible with the new Xbox Series X, this back-compatibility will have something extra, in the previous generation the back-compatibility was done by software, in this new generation it will be by hardware reducing the times of loading, improving resolution, frames per second and in some cases even “ray tracing”, all this will improve the quality of video games in general, also, older titles may have HDR thanks to an algorithm developed by Microsoft.
All these improvements will be obtained without the need to adapt the games or that the developer has to make a patch for it, this considerably increases the number of video games available for the release date and will be an extra to be able to relive your old adventures with an exceptional graphic quality.
Smart Delivery Service
Microsoft always takes good care of its community and “Smart Delivery” is no exception, if you have a physical or digital video game from a previous version of Xbox and this is published on the new Xbox Series X, you will have, for free, the patch of improvement for the new console, at the moment only few titles have been confirmed but this will increase with the passage of time, remember that Xbox always listens to its community, so it is not expected that they start with the best-selling titles first and then with some titles recommended by the same users.
These are all the news and features mentioned so far about Xbox Series X, are you as excited as I am about this new console? I hope so and that we have the opportunity to play with her from day one. Remember that you can follow me on my instagram account, maybe you like some of my content.
